SAE International:
SAE was formed in the 1900’s as the Society of Automobile Engineers; later on in 1916 the name was changed to the Society of Automotive Engineers to represent engineers in all types of mobility-related professions. The original purpose of this society was to develop engineering standards, patent protection, design problems, and an overall “free exchange of ideas”. SAE international has grown since, and not only develops standards but also hosts conferences, exhibits, technical publications, and educational elements. The SAE World Congress which is an educational event and exhibit comes to Detroit, Michigan every year in the spring. At thus coneference, technical papers are presented and discussions are held as well as a showcase of automotive companies, related businesses, and college engineering groups set up booths to display their latest technologies and projects. MGA has the capability to conduct many of the tests specified in various SAE standards. For more information, visit www.sae.org. |
