The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration otherwise known as NHTSA is responsible for issuing FMVSS specification.  FMVSS stands for Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards.  These standards and regulations are required to be used by motor vehicle and equipment manufacturers.  The purpose of the FMVSS standards is to protect the public from risks of crashes in motor vehicles due to the construction, design, or performance and also to protect the public from injuries when crashes occur.  MGA currently has many active FMVSS compliance test contracts underway with the NHTSA, and has the capability to conduct virtually any type of FMVSS test.  For more information on FMVSS or NHTSA, visit www.nhtsa.dot.gov.
